GEODEO EXTENDS SOUTH FROM THE OROMIA REGION WITH GUJI BORDERING TO THE EAST. SITUATED IN THE ETHIOPIAN HIGHLANDS WHICH HAS LITTLE ALTITUDE FALLING BELOW THE HIGHEST MOUNTAIN IN ETHIOPIA, THE 10TH HIGHEST IN AFRICA. THE CHELELEKTU MILL SOURCES BEANS FROM THE FARMERS THAT SURROUND IT IN THE WAY MANY OTHERS DO. THE VARIETIES THEMSELVES ARE OFTEN REFERRED TO AS HEIRLOOM, THOUGH, HAVING HIGH GENETIC DIVERSITY MEANS THAT IT IS NOT A GUARANTEE HEIRLOOM FROM ANOTHER REGION, BUT HERE THERE IS A PREPONDERANCE OF 74-110 (KNOWN LOCALLY AS KUMIE / KURUME).
